Neighbourhood Policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Your local team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in this area who are both visible and accessible.

We work closely with residents, community leaders, the local authority and other partners to understand and respond to community concerns. By working together and focussing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving we can find long-term solutions to local problems.

Anti-Social Behaviour regarding aggressive begging outside Businesses and ATM

Issued 17 June 2025

Council CCTV has now been installed in Uplands which can show where and when persons are sitting outside by ATM for officers to act. Linked in with Councillors to raise concern to help problem solve the issue. Keep businesses updated and aware to ring it to 101 when persons sitting by ATM. High visibility patrols conducted and right action to be taken if persons seen sitting by ATM. Also part of the sentinel patrols

Aggressive shoplifters in supermarkets

High visibility patrols are being conducted by PCSO and PC and right action will be taken if caught. Link in with businesses to see if all stores can have security guards or facial recognition to deter shoplifting. Local businesses to be kept updated via south Wales listen messages.
