Neighbourhood Policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Your local team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in this area who are both visible and accessible.
We work closely with residents, community leaders, the local authority and other partners to understand and respond to community concerns. By working together and focussing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving we can find long-term solutions to local problems.

Plans are in place to intensify police presence in the area, ranging from high visibility to plain clothes officer. Gathering intelligence and information from the public to identify those responsible for the activity. To work with the local housing associations to take joint action against those already known. Although police are not the primary agency in the dealing with these matters as part of our joint operations we will be working with local litter picking groups and the street cleanse teams from the local authority to work at locations identified. The areas of shops now. Government funded Op Sentinel high visibility patrols will be conducted in and around the shops, plain clothed officers will also be patrolling from other departments. We are working with local councillors around the management of the shopping precincts.
