Neighbourhood Policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Your local team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in this area who are both visible and accessible.
We work closely with residents, community leaders, the local authority and other partners to understand and respond to community concerns. By working together and focussing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving we can find long-term solutions to local problems.
Please note that to report a crime or incident to South Wales Police, you can visit South-wales.police.uk or in an emergency, please dial 999.

Local Priority Issues
Priority | Action taken |
---|---|
Drug dealing across both wards especially around the Pentwyn OSARA area. Issued 17 June 2025 |
Continue to collate and develop community intelligence in order for drug search warrants to be obtained at the addresses of those known to be involved in the supply of controlled drugs. Targeted patrols of the locations where dealing takes place and the stop/search of persons where appropriate grounds to do so exist. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
Violent Crime/Weapons linked to those involved in drug related activities. Issued 17 June 2025 |
An OSARA has been created in the Pentwyn ward to use a multi-agency approach to try and reduce violent crimes and drug related offences. Initial steps have been taken to try and purchase a CCTV system to be installed at the epicentre of this issue so the area can be monitored 24/7. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
Suron Motorbikes in the Pentwyn area. Issued 17 June 2025 |
CCTV enquiries are being conducted to try and identify the motorbikes involved and linked them to persons so enforcement action can be taken. We will look to utilise South Wales Police drone operators to see if these motorbikes can be followed back to an address for officers to attend and seize the bikes if they are not road legal. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
