ASB – Youths congregating and causing Anti-social Behaviour at Swansea docks, causing issues for local residents and businesses. Issued 17 June 2025 |
Operation in place surrounding ASB issues within the area over the summer months due to this being the busier period, as well as patrols in place during warm weather days across the year as youths begin to congregate and jump into the dock when the weather is warm. Action is taken accordingly against any youths identified as causing ASB and relevant referrals submitted. Partner agency meeting held to discuss the issues and how best to combat them. Ideas involving target hardening the area through discussions with the Crime Reduction Tactical Advisor, setting up the mobile police station in the area, a patrol strategy in place where officers will be in attendance at the location regularly throughout the summer holidays. Work will be undertaken with the local primary and comprehensive schools to advise them around water safety and what to do in an emergency, working alongside RNLI. Your local officers will also ensure events are held in the area through the summer holidays to provide residents with opportunities to speak with us and address any issues/concerns present. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
