Local Priority Issues

Priority Action taken

The community have been making complaints in relation to Youth behaviour in the community, these children causing these issues are predominantly from Glynneath  and Cwmgwarch.

NPT are going to conduct targeted high visibility foot patrols. The local PCSO will create a POPS for this matter to evidence NPTs actions to address this issue. NPT will submit the necessary ASB referrals for the subjects & ASB referrals will also be submitted on the area as well as EAT referrals.

Members of the public have reported their concerns with the level of persons, reportedly adults as well as children using E-scooters in the area. Members of the public have also expressed that they think that it is very likely that someone will be hurt soon (the concerned children are from Glynneath  and Cwmgwarch).

The local NBM to take enforcement action. The local PCSOs will do a road safety input during the summer holidays & will request the assistance from the local Schools to assist in sending to parents SWP literature. Neath NPT will also look to see what other areas in SWANSEA are doing for further ideas to tackle this issue.

Community members in the area are complaining that there is an increase in drugs in the area & are reporting the frequent smell of cannabis.

NPT are going to complete intel gathering and positive action is to be taken. The main focus areas are - Coed y Pergwm, Morfa Glas & High street. Leaflet drops & foot patrols will be carried out at these concerned locations.
