Neighbourhood Policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Your local team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in this area who are both visible and accessible.
We work closely with residents, community leaders, the local authority and other partners to understand and respond to community concerns. By working together and focussing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving we can find long-term solutions to local problems.

CCTV to monitor City centre to make officers aware when there is a large group congregating. Liaising with McDonalds staff and Bus station staff with concerns and help problem solve the issue. Shoplifters in City centre Issued 17 June 2025 |
High visibility patrols to be conducted through the city centre. We have been working with local businesses and agencies to provide Police officers to focus purely on shoplifters in city centre and to take the correct action when caught. Store net Radios has been provided to those who have been hit the worst to communicate with CCTV to capture the persons. Local business and residents will be reassured and updated via Sout Wales Listens Messages. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
