Neighbourhood policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Our PCSOs and officers are proud to be integral parts of the communities they serve.

We want to ensure our neighbourhood policing is as efficient and effective as it can be, and our aim is to be the best in the country at understanding and responding to the needs and priorities of each individual community. Your local neighbourhood policing team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area who are both visible and accessible.

Fundamental to our model of neighbourhood policing is engaging with our communities: connecting with individuals, organisations, businesses, schools, workplaces and others; working to understand, respond to, and tackle your concerns and priorities; and putting measures in place to prevent issues from escalating – or from occurring in the first place.

By working together and focusing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving, we can find long-term solutions to local problems.

We have gathered information, worked with the SWP roads policing team and liaised with partner agencies to address the concerns via problem solving. Residents have been kept up to date via PACT surgeries and South Wales Listens messaging.

We have patrolled the locations and taken action against those committing speeding offences. We have carried out operations in relation to the off road bikes using the drones and Fixed winged aircraft to record activity. We have gathered information, worked with the SWP roads policing team and liaised with partner agencies to address the concerns via problem solving.
