Neighbourhood policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Our PCSOs and officers are proud to be integral parts of the communities they serve.
We want to ensure our neighbourhood policing is as efficient and effective as it can be, and our aim is to be the best in the country at understanding and responding to the needs and priorities of each individual community. Your local neighbourhood policing team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area who are both visible and accessible.
Fundamental to our model of neighbourhood policing is engaging with our communities: connecting with individuals, organisations, businesses, schools, workplaces and others; working to understand, respond to, and tackle your concerns and priorities; and putting measures in place to prevent issues from escalating – or from occurring in the first place.
By working together and focusing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving, we can find long-term solutions to local problems.

Off-road bikes Issued 19 March 2026 |
Operation Akalat was conducted on the 24/04/26 in the Swansea area. This is a continuation of previous operations which cracks down on the illegal and anti-social use of off-road bikes, and stolen vehicles. Utilising NPAS fixed Wing aircraft officers sighted numerous off-road/illegal bikes around Swansea which were then followed by NPAS fixed wing aircraft until they could be safely apprehended by officers on the ground. As part of the operation 16 x motorcycles / surrons / offroad bikes were seized – 8 of which were from the Penderri area. The riders identified were reported for driving offences. Antisocial behaviour - Broughton Avenue Issued 15 December 2025 |
A positive warrant was executed on Woodford Road in March 2026 where a large quantity of Class B drugs and cash was located and seized. A male subject was arrested and remains on bail whilst the investigation is ongoing. Actioned 19 March 2026 |
