‘All on Board’ Partnership within Heol Emrys; improving the quality of life for the residents of the Heol Emrys Estate

What we are going to do; Reinvigorating our presence within the Heol Emrys Estate. We know the loss of Penlan police station has had an impact on the trust and confidence of the residents within the area. The team are dedicated to ensuring that there is a presence on the estate by our neighbourhood team and working within a strong partnership with housing, community safety and other partners to increase the living standards for those residents on the estate, as well as addressing criminality and anti social behaviour. We are working in collaboration with First Cyrmu and our partners to put a bus bi monthly on the estate to ensure that residents have access to their local police officers and also our partner agencies.

Tackling anti-social behaviour within Broughton Avenue, Blaenymaes

What we are going to do; Operation Veery is the name of the Operation that has been given to this area. The operation sees a partnership approach to addressing the issues that have been raised directly through a survery by the residents within the area as well as the children who frequent Blaenymaes Primary School. The team are committed to lowering anti-social behaviour and criminality,as well as increasing feelings of safety and a better living environment for the residents. This includes working with our partners to address littering, graffiti and the use of motorbikes for anti social purposes within the area, as well as increasing patrols and targeted operations throughout the coming year.
