Neighbourhood Policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Your local team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in this area who are both visible and accessible.
We work closely with residents, community leaders, the local authority and other partners to understand and respond to community concerns. By working together and focussing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving we can find long-term solutions to local problems.
Please note that to report a crime or incident to South Wales Police, you can visit South-wales.police.uk or in an emergency, please dial 999.

Shoplifting is having a major impact on businesses within the local area. Issued 17 June 2025 |
We will continue to work closely with local businesses to identify offenders and to take positive action against them. As an NPT we now have ownership of all shoplifting offences to work more closely with businesses and to provide a better and more timely response. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
Youths are being abusive/intimidating members of the public in and around the beach front. They are being disruptive y drinking whilst underage, listening to loud music and urinating in the sand dunes. Issued 17 June 2025 |
We have created multi-agency operation (Op Adriatic) which includes a partnership approach to tackling the issues. We will continue to patrol with our neighbourhood policing team. We will actively engage residents, businesses, licensees and the wider public through traditional face to face engagement. We will continue to take positive action against offenders including issuing ASB referrals. We will also work with our partners to develop engagements and diversionary events for the youths. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
Off road bikes were constantly being used and driven dangerously on the road along the beach front, as well as across the sand dunes and in public car parks. Issued 17 June 2025 |
We will continue to patrol the locations and use drones to discourage and deter riders. We will also use our powers to seize vehicles and issue section 59 notices. For those that travel to the area and use vans to transport the bikes we will be targeting car parks and lay byes. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
