Neighbourhood policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Our PCSOs and officers are proud to be integral parts of the communities they serve.

We want to ensure our neighbourhood policing is as efficient and effective as it can be, and our aim is to be the best in the country at understanding and responding to the needs and priorities of each individual community. Your local neighbourhood policing team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area who are both visible and accessible.

Fundamental to our model of neighbourhood policing is engaging with our communities: connecting with individuals, organisations, businesses, schools, workplaces and others; working to understand, respond to, and tackle your concerns and priorities; and putting measures in place to prevent issues from escalating – or from occurring in the first place.

By working together and focusing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving, we can find long-term solutions to local problems.

Number of High visibility patrols have been conducted around the hot spot areas ie The Spar Dalton Road and One Stop Fairway. CRTA's attended at the store in Dalton Road, Sandfields to offer advice.

There has been a significant decrease in number of occurrences that have been reported, the POP we had in place has been finalised, due to number of incidents reported
We will continue with the priority to offer reassurance to shops

Local officers have conducted around hot spot areas Purcell Avenue, Scarlett Av and the Beach Dunes, for intelligence gathering.

Local Neighbour Policing Team has linked in with local housing providers, asking them to submit intelligence of an Off road bike is sighted at their properties
