Neighbourhood Policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Your local team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in this area who are both visible and accessible.
We work closely with residents, community leaders, the local authority and other partners to understand and respond to community concerns. By working together and focussing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving we can find long-term solutions to local problems.

Numerous reports of youths causing a nuisance on off road bikes riding unregistered and illegal motorcycles in a dangerous manner near to residential areas including the local Cimla park on Cimla Common. Issued 17 June 2025 |
Using intelligence by yourselves we are implementing plans to launch an operation using resources available to us, these will include traffic officers & the use of the SWP drone etc, in an effort to address this problem. High visibility reassurance patrols will also be conducted at these locations. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
Due to complaints of older youths attending the park and behaving in an anti-social manner to the annoyance of parents with young children. Issued 17 June 2025 |
Patrols to be carried out at the location to address these concerns. NPT will utilise local youth agencies with a view to engage with any youths found to be causing issues and point them in the direction of services who along with ourselves could provide positive redirection for these youths. We have received complaints from residents regarding dog fouling, which not only is a nuisance but can be a health hazard. Issued 17 June 2025 |
We will address these complaints by working with our partners by conducting joint patrols with the Council. We will also utilise our colleagues in Community Safety and assist with the ‘paws on patrol’ initiative who advise dog walkers accordingly. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
