We want to ensure our neighbourhood policing is as efficient and effective as it can be, and our aim is to be the best in the country at understanding and responding to the needs and priorities of each individual community. Your local neighbourhood policing team is made up of officers and PCSOs based in your area who are both visible and accessible.
Fundamental to our model of neighbourhood policing is engaging with our communities: connecting with individuals, organisations, businesses, schools, workplaces and others; working to understand, respond to, and tackle your concerns and priorities; and putting measures in place to prevent issues from escalating – or from occurring in the first place.
By working together and focusing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving, we can find long-term solutions to local problems.

We have received reports of fly-tipping near & on Nant Y Rhos Road which is the road leading between Cilfrew & Crynant. Issued 17 June 2025 |
The local Councillor has been made aware regarding this issue & the local PCSO is going to link in with the waste enforcement team from Neath Port Talbot council. Periodic patrols are also going to be conducted in the area to target this. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
Local residents at Parc Penscynor have made both the Police and the local Councillor aware of parking issues in the area Issued 17 June 2025 |
The local PCSO is continuing to conduct patrols at the location and positive action will be taken should any vehicles be sighted causing any unnecessary obstruction. The local school will also be visited with regards to parents being given literature regarding the importance of parking safely. The road Safety team for Neath Port Talbot Council have also been made aware. Actioned 17 June 2025 |

Neighbourhood policing teams will attend the location in the evenings whenever possible. Details of drivers will also be obtained should they be causing any ASB at the location & these drivers will be dealt with accordingly. Actioned 17 June 2025 |
