Crime update

A prolific shoplifter has been remanded into custody after being charged with eight counts of Theft from Shop and three breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). The male was interviewed, charged and subsequently remanded.

In addition, a Community Protection Warning (CPW) has been issued to a female responsible for ongoing anti-social behaviour within Bridgend town centre. The warning includes the following conditions:

Not to consume alcohol within Bridgend town centre.

Not to enter Bridgend town centre after 6:00pm unless accompanied by an appropriate adult.

Not to climb on any scaffolding within Bridgend County Borough.

Not to enter any premises from which she has been banned or excluded by staff.

Not to enter Tesco, Brewery Lane, Bridgend, including the entrance, exit and car park areas.

Not to use abusive or insulting language, or engage in intimidating behaviour, within Bridgend County Borough.

To continue engaging with relevant support services.

These measures have been put in place to address anti-social behaviour and help improve safety and confidence within the town centre.
