Pencoed Community Update

On Monday 28 September 2026, officers carried out a speed monitoring operation on Coychurch Road between 12:00pm and 1:00pm.

During the operation, the average vehicle speed recorded was 17mph within the 20mph speed limit zone, demonstrating good overall compliance by the majority of road users.

A total of four drivers were stopped for exceeding the 20mph speed limit and were provided with educational road safety advice regarding the importance of adhering to speed restrictions and helping to keep our communities safe.

We would like to thank all road users who continue to drive responsibly and support safer roads in Pencoed.
