We are currently recruiting through various entry routes:

Police Officer Entry Routes (Applications open until 14 July 2026):

Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA)

A 3-year programme combining practical policing with academic study

Earn while you learn

Gain a degree in Professional Policing Practice upon completion

Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP)

A 2-year programme for applicants who already hold a degree (in any subject)

Combines operational policing with academic learning

Leads to a Diploma in Professional Policing Practice

Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP)

This 2-year programme is designed for candidates with at least three years of relevant experience within the last five years, including sectors such as:

Criminal justice (courts, probation, CPS)

Armed forces, border force, prison service

Emergency services (fire, ambulance, coastguard, policing roles)

Customer service or public service environments

Investigative roles (including financial, digital, or cyber investigations)

Health and social care

This is a Level 5, non-accredited programme combining practical and theoretical training, with an option to gain accreditation in year 3.

Detective Constable Entry Programme (DCEP)

This fast-track route is ideal for individuals interested in investigating serious and complex crimes. The role involves:

Leading investigations and safeguarding vulnerable individuals

Developing specialist investigative skills

Progressing to Detective status following a 2-year probation period

Completing the National Investigator’s Examination (full support provided)

It is a challenging yet highly rewarding career path for those who are analytical, resilient, and motivated.
