Dear Resident, It has come to the attention of the police that there are two males captured on CCTV in the Heat area late at night and into the early hours of the mornings attempting to break into garden sheds. On some occasions, they have been successful in breaking into these sheds and taking items away with them. Currently, these individuals have been spotted in the Lisvane area on CCTV on several streets late at night, trying car doors and peering into residents' homes. Fortunately, we have not yet lost any vehicles in the area. Please do not leave anything of value in your vehicle in the back seat or on the front seat. If, for whatever reason, you leave items in the front or back seat of your vehicle, may I please suggest putting them in the boot? If not, take them inside. May I also suggest that you double check that your car is locked, and you didn't forget to lock it. For those of you who may have a keyless start vehicle to purchase a Faraday box or pouch, please consider purchasing one or two depending on how many keys you have. Double check your windows and doors before going to bed or going out and make sure you don’t leave any keys to the house or vehicle on display where anyone can see them from the outside of your property. Make sure all security lights work and set your burglar alarm at night or when you are going out.
