Community safety- Youth Anti-Social behaviour

Good Afternoon,

We would like to make the community aware of recent reports of anti-social behaviour involving a group of youths on Gors Avenue. 

Officers are aware of incidents that have included youths running onto the road in front of moving vehicles, pretending to fight, and shouting abusive language at passing Officers. This behaviour is unacceptable, dangerous, and disruptive. It places both young people and road users at risk of serious harm and will not be tolerated. 

We are asking parents and guardians to please be aware of where their children are, who they are with and what they are doing. It is important to speak with them about the risk and consequences of this type of behaviour. Parents and guardians support is essential in keeping them and others safe. 

Officers will be continuing to patrol the area, if the behaviour continues those involved will be subject to anti-social behaviour referrals and further action where appropriate.
