Hello Resident

A prolific burglar who targeted numerous addresses in Neath Port Talbot has been jailed.

35-year-old Lewis Wood, from Newport, targeted homes in the Baglan, Port Talbot areas mostly in November and December last year.

He has been jailed for over five years after he pleaded guilty to:

ten counts of attempted dwelling burglary with intent to steal;

three counts of dwelling burglary with intent to steal;

three counts of assault by beating ;

 theft of a motor vehicle;

driving whilst disqualified;

and using a motor vehicle without third-party insurance.

Positive action carried out from our Neighbourhood Team, CID and local units have resulted in the positive identification of the male an the subsequent investigation and result in court.

Mae bwrgler cyson a dargedodd nifer o gyfeiriadau yng Nghastell-nedd Port Talbot wedi'i garcharu.

Targedodd Lewis Wood, 35 oed, o Gasnewydd, gartrefi yn ardaloedd Baglan, Port Talbot yn bennaf ym mis Tachwedd a mis Rhagfyr y llynedd.

Mae wedi cael ei garcharu am dros bum mlynedd ar ôl pledio'n euog i'r canlynol:

deg achos o ymgais i gyflawni bwrgleriaeth ar annedd gyda'r bwriad o ddwyn;

tri achos o gyflawni bwrgleriaeth ar annedd gyda'r bwriad o ddwyn;

tri achos o ymosod drwy daro;

dwyn cerbyd modur;

gyrru tra roedd wedi'i wahardd;

a defnyddio cerbyd modur heb yswiriant trydydd parti.
