Remembrance Event at The Savoy Theatre, Tonyrefail

Last night, on 6th NOVEMBER 2025 Tonyrefail and Gilfach Goch Neighbourhood Policing Team were lucky enough to be invited to the Remembrance Concert at the Savoy Theatre, Tonyrefail.  Our team were treated to entertainment by the Mid Rhondda Brass Band, the Cambrian Male Voice Choir and the lovely vocalist, Leah Seren.  

The concert was an enjoyable and emotive nod to all of those who have protected and served our country, some of whom never returning from doing so. 

Our team were also thrilled to support our ex colleague and South Wales Police Veteran Allan Blackburn in being a guest of honour at the ceremony. Allan was thanked at the event for his 33 years of service to Rhondda Communities. 

We extend our genuine thanks to Tonyrefail British Legion for inviting us to be a part of this event, which, until last night has not taken place since before the Covid 19 pandemic.  There is no place like this community for true community spirit and this was prevalent at last night's event. We hope to support this event for many years to come. 

Our team will also be present at the Tonyrefail and Gilfach Goch Remembrance Memorial Events this coming Sunday 11th November and we look forward to seeing many of you there.
