Hello Resident

Please note we have identified a rise in SCAM OPPORTUNITIES in the SA1 area, particularly local car parks.

QR codes have been placed onto the boards located throughout the car parks which contain information on how to pay to park.

If you use your phone to scan these QR codes, it will request your details and act as a normal payment, however this will actually result in the attempt of approximately £400 being taken out of your provided account.

When parking your vehicle within car parks that require payment, please remember the following:

Try and utilise cash where possible.

Do not scan ANY QR codes found on display boards, use the direct official website displayed to ensure your details are protected.

Report any suspicious findings to South Wales Police and ActionFraud.

Please spread the word to ensure no one is left victim to these scams!
