PACT Priorities Update

PACT Priority 1 – ASB – Sandy Lane Area

Ongoing patrols have been conducted around the area. No recent issues at the car park. Male occupying the caravan in the car park has been out of the area for a few weeks. Caravan locked and secure.

PACT Priority 2 – Parking/Speeding Concerns – New Road

Regular patrols have been carried out. Due to the number of vehicles parked on-street and presence of traffic calming measures, vehicles have been observed travelling with care within the 20mph speed limit. No vehicles observed causing an obstruction.

PACT Priority 3 – Parking – Woodland Avenue

Organisations based in the area have been spoken with. Staff and visitors to be reminded to park in suitable locations so as not to cause an obstruction. Area has been patrolled. No obstructions observed.

Resident Concerns

Sandy Lane - ASB in the car park.

Mackworth Road - request for all road markings to be re-painted along the length of the street.

Mackworth Road - parking on double yellow lines causing obstruction to free flow of traffic and making it difficult to use private driveway accesses.

Risk of dogs going to toilet within the new playground facility at Cosy Corner due to lack of fencing.

New cctv cameras erected at Griffin Park and Old Station Road. Are they working and who operates them?

Griffin Park playground equipment in poor condition.

Subway mirror remains in a poor condition. Covered over in spray paint.

Lack of public access signs at either end of lane linking Glan Road and Mackworth Road. Vehicles occasionally block access at end of Glan Road, making it difficult for mobility scooter users to negotiate the route.
