Local Priorities Vehicle crime (theft from or theft of) Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Vehicle crime (theft from or theft of), which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Overnight there has been a vehicle interferences within the Uplands/Brynmill area and I would like to reinforce the information that was sent out yesterday regarding vehicle crime and that all vehicles need to be properly secured.

For cars this means double checking that every window is secure and that every door is closed and locked when leaving your vehicles. For motorbikes please make sure you are chaining the bike up or securing it in a safe place.

We take all crime including vehicle crime seriously and will be conducting enquires in the area today. If you have any information regarding any vehicle crime in the last few days, please don't hesitate to reply to this message.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.south-wales.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
