Hello Everyone This message is just to make you aware of an incident that occurred near Horton Gower, yesterday evening. Whereas several males driving a silver 4x4 type vehicle were seen acting suspiciously in a very remote field in Horton they also had several Lurcher type dogs with them.It is more than likely that the males were using the dogs to hunt either rabbits or Hares. If you do happen to witness anything similar please see below:- If you witness hare coursing, the most important advice is to call the police on 999 immediately if a crime is in progress or 101 to report it after it has taken place. If you can, gather information such as vehicle descriptions, number plates, and a description of those involved. Do not approach those involved, as they can be dangerous. Reporting Hare Coursing to the Police: Call 999: If the incident is currently happening or poses an immediate threat. Call 101: If the incident is over or not immediately dangerous. Describe the Scene: Provide the date, time, and location of the activity. Vehicle Details: Note the make, model, colour, and any distinctive features of vehicles involved. Person Descriptions: Note the number of people involved and provide descriptions of them, including their clothing and any distinguishing features. Dog Descriptions: Note the number of dogs and their breed or type. Direction of Travel: Note the direction the vehicle or group was traveling. Damage: Report any damage to property, fences, or gates. Be discreet: Avoid getting into a face-to-face confrontation, and if you are able to gather evidence (photographs or video) do so discreetly.
