PARKLAND SCHOOL PARKING ISSUES

Good afternoon, Residents, Pawb.

We have had several reports over the last few weeks of dangerous parking at Parkland Primary School.

These problems are due to high volumes of traffic attempting to park in close proximity to the school, to collect their children

at home times.

Patrols have been conducted and many drivers advised on irresponsible parking.  Being “late” or “just dropping off” is not an excuse, as these actions are jeopardising our children's safety, when entering and leaving the school.

Safety tips for parking outside schools

When picking up or dropping off children at schools, you should do the following:

* Allow yourself plenty of time as the area is likely to be busy.

* Do not park on yellow zigzag lines and avoid parking opposite them.

* If you decide to park further away, please be considerate of local residents and avoid blocking driveways and access ways.

* Do not park on double yellow lines, unless you are a blue badge holder.

Our Patrols will continue.

Diolch
