You Said, We did - Drug concerns

Hello Resident

Thank you for responding to our survey.

We are working hard to tackle drug related crime in Baglan

Following reports of a vehicle driving with a strong smell of cannabis within these areas we have had police units stop and check the vehicle where a number of persons within the vehicle have been arrested for possession of an illegal substance.

We will continue to monitor and patrol for similar incidents and use proactive tactics where available to police these issues. We strongly urge any persons with information to report these incidents or concerns to the police OR through the anonymous reporting via Crime Stoppers.

Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime.

If you are experiencing problems with drug related crime , or have any concerns about it, or other community safety issues, you should contact your local council or report this to us online. In an emergency, if you or your property are at risk, or a crime is in progress call 999.

Do you need to speak to the police but don’t require an emergency response?

You can make an online report via our website https://www.south-wales.police.uk, send us a private message via Live Chat, or call 101. In an emergency always dial 999.
