After the PACT meeting that was held on the 24/04/2025, below is the issues that were discussed.

Resolutions 

Homeless

The homeless issues we were having in town has now been resolved. 

The subjects were given S35s on the 21/03/2025 which means that they are not to return to Porthcawl for 48hrs or they will be arrested. Only 1 of the subjects have returned but is no longer sleeping on the streets and we have had issues in John Street since. 

OneStop and Fablas have made a agreement that Fablas will set up their tables and chairs across the outside area of OneStop where the homeless were set up. It is also my understanding that residents and council have funded money to place heavy plant pots in the area to prevent them returning outside the store .

Parking issues and school runs 

After numerus reports, PC Robberts set up a joint operation with the local fire, ambulance, cleaner streets and traffic warden authorities alongside all of the Porthcawl neighbourhood policing team. 

This involved attending streets around the town centre and schools to give advise to those vehicles we found were causing possible obstructions. We spoke to residents and posted leaflets and left leaflets on vehicles to warn them about the dangers of irresponsible parking. 

We also had a fire truck assist us in driving around the surrounding streets to identify unnecessary obstructions. 

Issues raised by Officers

Rogue Traders

With summer approaching, we are again having issues with rogue traders in the area. 

I reminded everyone to be vigilant when answering the door to persons they do not know and not to accept any sales or work from the door. 

I explained that I have placed posters around the area provided to us by Shared Regulatory Services and asked everyone to speak to their family, friends and neighbours to make sure they are aware of the dangers with rouge traders and to report any suspicious activity. 

The next PACT meeting date will possibly be 04/07/2025, this will be confirmed closer to the date.

Materion y cyfarfod diwethaf a godwyd:Digartref yng nghanol y drefMaterion parcioMaterion parcio yn ystod rhediadau ysgolDatrysiadauDigartrefMae'r materion digartref yr oeddem yn eu cael yn y dref bellach wedi'u datrys. Rhoddwyd S35 i'r pynciau ar 21/03/2025 sy'n golygu na fyddant i ddychwelyd i Borthcawl am 48 awr neu byddant yn cael eu harestio. Dim ond un o'r pynciau sydd wedi dychwelyd ond nid yw bellach yn cysgu ar y strydoedd ac rydym wedi cael problemau yn John Street ers hynny. Mae OneStop a Fablas wedi gwneud cytundeb y bydd Fablas yn gosod eu byrddau a'u cadeiriau ar draws ardal allanol OneStop lle cafodd y digartref eu sefydlu. Rwy'n deall hefyd bod trigolion a'r cyngor wedi ariannu arian i osod potiau planhigion trwm yn yr ardal i'w hatal rhag dychwelyd y tu allan i'r siop.

Ar ôl adroddiadau niferus, sefydlodd PC Robberts weithrediad ar y cyd â'r awdurdodau tân, ambiwlans, strydoedd glanach a wardeiniaid traffig lleol ochr yn ochr â holl dîm plismona cymdogaeth Porthcawl. Roedd hyn yn cynnwys mynychu strydoedd o amgylch canol y dref ac ysgolion i roi cyngor i'r cerbydau hynny a oedd yn achosi rhwystrau posibl. Fe wnaethon ni siarad â thrigolion a phostio taflenni a gadael taflenni ar gerbydau i'w rhybuddio am beryglon parcio anghyfrifol. Roedd tryc dân hefyd yn ein cynorthwyo i yrru o gwmpas y strydoedd cyfagos i adnabod rhwystrau diangen.

Materion a godwyd gan SwyddogionMasnachwyr RogueGyda'r haf yn agosáu, rydym unwaith eto yn cael problemau gyda masnachwyr twyllodrus yn yr ardal. Atgoffais bawb i fod yn wyliadwrus wrth ateb y drws i bobl nad ydyn nhw'n eu hadnabod a pheidio â derbyn unrhyw werthiannau neu waith o'r drws. Esboniais fy mod wedi gosod posteri o amgylch yr ardal a ddarperir i ni gan Shared Regulatory Services a gofyn i bawb siarad â'u teulu, ffrindiau a chymdogion i wneud yn siŵr eu bod yn ymwybodol o'r peryglon gyda masnachwyr twyllodrus ac i roi gwybod am unrhyw weithgaredd amheus. Y dyddiad cyfarfod PACT nesaf o bosibl fydd 04/07/2025, bydd hyn yn cael ei gadarnhau'n agosach at y dyddiad.
