A Day In The Life Of A PCSO/ Diwrnod ym mywyd swyddog cymorth cymunedol yr Heddlu

My name is Holly and I am the Local PCSO for Ravenhill / Fforestfach and I wanted to give you an insight of a day in the life as a PCSO. Each day varies and no two days are the same.

Yesterday, I started my day in the station briefing myself on crimes/incidents that came in overnight so that I was able to target my patrols. I picked up some tasks for the day and went out on patrol. 

1) Assisting PC Malenka making arrest enquiries for a priority suspect.

2) Carrying out 'South Wales Listens' surveys in Fforestfach & Ravenhill. We want to know what matters to you and any concerns that you may have living in your community. I met some lovely people (& dogs) and caught up with the local Councillor. 

3) Reassurance patrols through Ravenhill park.

4) Checking in on abandoned building following reports of Anti-social Behaviour.

5) Visit to vulnerable member of community.

6) Traffic management at Road Traffic Collison in a busy lane awaiting vehicle recovery. Thankfully, no injuries were sustained and everyone was safe and well.
