Crime prevention message relating to Thefts Crofty Sunday 23rd March 2025

Good morning

The Gower Policing Team would like to convey an important message in relation to recent thefts in Crofty.

In the very early hours of Sunday 23 March 2025 a garage on Chapel Road was broken into and a large amount of power equipment was stolen. The criminals have broken locks with some kind of bolt cutter to gain access. Three people were seen in the area, but they were all wearing hoodies or balaclavas. It is assumed that the same persons broke into a vehicle on Pencaerfenni Lane but nothing was taken from inside. Enquiries are currently ongoing, and officers are making every effort to identify the offenders. Can we ask local residents who have CCTV/Ring doorbells to check if any suspicious activity has been caught? The times are between 01:00 -02:30 Sunday 23 March 2025. Be vigilant, consider shed/garage alarms, CCTV, and make sure you protect vehicles and do not leave valuables visible. If any CCTV footage comes to light or anyone has any information at all in relation to these incidents, please call 101 or use the 101 online reporting tool quoting the Police Incident number 2500091940. If you witness any similar activity in the area call 999 at the earliest opportunity. Thank you very much Police community support officer Andrew Brown
