We have been working hard in the Pontardawe and surrounding areas by conducting a local Taxi Operation.

Recently local officers have worked alongside South Wales Police Commercial unit, DVSA and Licencing to conduct a taxi operation where taxis and commercial vehicles (minibuses) licenced with NPT, Swansea, Powys and Bridgend are stopped and inspected.

As a result, a number of vehicles were taken off the road due to their condition. These vehicles are conveying a number of people within our community therefore, it is very important they maintain the highest possible standards. 

It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime.
