You Said, We did - ASBBILINGUAL MESSAGE / NEGES DWYIEITHOG Hello Resident
We are working hard to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) and concerns around illegal trading at a number of stores in the Adamsdown and Splott areas.
On the 14th February 2025, officers from the Roath Cathays Neighbourhood Policing Team supported colleagues of Shared Regulatory Services and UK Immigration with a number of visits to vape stores in this area.
A number of seizures of illicit tobacco and vape products were seized.
Further action will now be considered including issuing closure orders on these premises.
As a Neighbourhood Policing Team, we are commited to making Adamsdown and Splott safer, and we will work with our partners and use the range of tools at our disposal to ensure that stores operate within the law and without putting the public at risk through the sale of unlicensed or uncompliant goods.
Anti-social behaviour covers a wide range of unacceptable activity that causes harm to an individual, to their community or to their environment. This could be an action by someone else that leaves you feeling alarmed, harassed, or distressed. It also includes fear of crime or concern for public safety, public disorder, or public nuisance.
If you are experiencing problems with anti-social behaviour, or have any concerns about it, or other community safety issues, you should contact your local council or report this to us online. In an emergency, if you or your property are at risk, or a crime is in progress call 999. Do you need to speak to the police but don’t require an emergency response? You can make an online report via our website https://www.south-wales.police.uk, send us a private message via Live Chat, or call 101. In an emergency always dial 999.
