The South Wales Police Apprentice programme is an excellent opportunity for you if you are wanting to develop your workplace skills alongside gaining an academic qualification. This opportunity is suited to those at the start of their career journey and for those looking to have a career change.

Our apprenticeship programme is paid, and is for a period of 12 – 24 months (dependent upon the qualification) starting in September 2025. It is a level 3 or level 4 apprenticeship, and you will be expected to complete this alongside your work with South Wales Police. You will be supported through the course by a tutor from the training provider, alongside your team in the workplace.

  • Digital Forensics - Level 3 ICT Professional Competence
  •  

  • ICT - Level 3 ICT Professional Competence
  • Technical Support Officer – Level 4 IT Security or  Level 3 ICT Professional Competence
  • Communications and Marketing - Level 4 Social media and Digital Marketing
  • Digital and Content - Level 4 Digital Content Designer
  • Learning and Support Unit - Level 3 Business Administration 
  • Operational Support Services - Level 3 Business Administration
  • HR Business Administration – Level 3 Business Administration 
  • Facilities and Business Administration – Level 3 Business Administration
  • Leadership and Talent Support – Level 3 Business Administration
