The Merthyr Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working hard in the Dowlais area targeting drug crime and yesterday, Thursday 19th December 2024 conducted a warrant at a property in the area leading to the arrest and remand of a 53-year-old male, present at the property who has now been charged with the offence of cultivation of cannabis.

During the investigation it became known that the same male had been outstanding since 2016 for a similar offence in the Cheshire area, so this is a particularly notable success for the team.

Mae Tîm Plismona Bro Merthyr wedi bod yn gweithio'n galed yn ardal Dowlais gan dargedu troseddau cyffuriau a ddoe, dydd Iau 19 Rhagfyr 2024 cynhaliodd warant mewn eiddo yn yr ardal gan arwain at arestio a remand dyn 53 oed, sydd bellach wedi'i gyhuddo o drosedd tyfu canabis.

Yn ystod yr ymchwiliad, daeth yn hysbys bod yr un dyn wedi bod yn ddieuog ers 2016 am drosedd debyg yn ardal Swydd Gaer, felly mae hwn yn llwyddiant arbennig o nodedig i'r tîm.
