Crime prevention message

Dear resident,

Please note we have identified a rise in VEHICLE CRIME in the PORT TENNANT and SA1 area.

Over the last week there has been a rise in vehicle theft offences, particularly pedal bikes. In order for these to be prevented, your local neighbourhood officers would recommend the following;

- Ensure all bikes are secure and where possible when not being used, please store them within your properties/in garages/back gardens to prevent easy access. It is possible that these offenders are using tools to break any locks used.

- CCTV is extremely useful including RING doorbells. This could be beneficial to assist officers when investigating stolen vehicles to identify offenders.

- Please report any issues you may be experiencing, or contact your local officers detailed below for further crime prevention advice.

Officers will be conducting CCTV enquiries in the area over the next week in regards to these thefts.

Patrols will also be conducted around the area to provide reassurance.

Your local officers:

PCSO Ayeshah WILLIAMS 07773662918

PCSO Nicholas BUSHROD 07811166760
