We are still receiving reports of Uninvited Traders targeting the elderly.

Male / Males will arrive in a van and state your home needs repair.

requesting an upfront payment. 

The frequent targets are bungalows that have disabled appliances visible, such as handrails, key safe etc.

Please be vigilant for any traders in your street that you do not recognise.

*Never accept a job from an uninvited trader, even if you believe you need this service.

*Always seek a reputable company, someone you trust, that will arrange a suitable time to call, where a neighbour or family member can be present.

*Never hand any money over / cheques / bank details

*Take your time and do not be pressured

*Do not be afraid to “offend”  SAY NO!  this is your right in your own home!
