Crime prevention message Hello Resident With the winter drawing in and Christmas coming up, certain crimes tend to spike, such as Burglaries and car thefts and theft from cars. Let’s make sure to keep our doors and windows of our houses and cars locked at all times. It is important that we do not leave our belongings in our cars during day or night time. With this being said, it is also important not to leave valuables on display in your homes. Closing blinds or curtains when you're popping out could perhaps be a deterrent. For those with keyless vehicles, please make sure to keep your keys in a faraday box (you can order these for a good price on Amazon). Some might choose to invest in some CCTV - this is a great deterrent and can help the police catch criminals. You may also choose to purchase dummy CCTV which can also be a great option. Also, sensor lights and home security systems have a significant effect in preventing such crimes from happening.
