Burglary arrests

Detectives investigating a spate of burglaries in Cardiff and Penarth have arrested two men.

Last week, officers warned about a series of break-ins car keys and cars had been stolen. Homes in Cardiff Bay, Penarth, Penylan, Whitchurch, Rhiwbina and Llanedeyrn have been targeted in recent weeks.

David Lee Thomas, 34, from Pentwyn was arrested on Friday (November 8) and has been charged with burglary, attempt burglary and theft of motor vehicle.
Thomas appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and has been remanded in custody. He will next appear at Cardiff Crown Court next month.

A second man arrested in connection with the burglaries is on conditional bail pending further enquiries.

Mae ditectifs sy'n ymchwilio i gyfres o fyrgleriaethau yng Nghaerdydd a Phenarth wedi arestio dau ddyn.

 

Yr wythnos diwethaf, rhybuddiodd swyddogion am gyfres o allweddi car wedi torri i mewn ac roedd ceir wedi cael eu dwyn. Mae cartrefi ym Mae Caerdydd, Penarth, Pen-y-lan, yr Eglwys Newydd, Rhiwbeina a Llanedern wedi cael eu targedu yn ystod yr wythnosau diwethaf.

 

Cafodd David Lee Thomas, 34, o Bentwyn ei arestio ddydd Gwener (Tachwedd 8) ac mae wedi’i gyhuddo o fyrgleriaeth, ymgais i fyrgleriaeth a dwyn cerbydau modur. Ymddangosodd Thomas yn Llys Ynadon Caerdydd ddydd Sadwrn ac mae wedi cael ei gadw yn y ddalfa. Fe fydd yn ymddangos yn Llys y Goron Caerdydd fis nesaf.

 

Mae ail ddyn a gafodd ei arestio mewn cysylltiad â’r byrgleriaethau ar fechnïaeth amodol tra’n aros am ymholiadau pellach.
