Operation Sceptre


This week is Operation Sceptre is a national campaign that takes place to raise awareness of knife crime and reduce its occurrence.

 

*GOAL : To educate people about the dangers of carrying a knife and to tackle the root causes of knife crime.

 

*ACTIVITIES :  Include knife amnesty bins, targeted operations, community engagement events, working with schools and local authorities.

 

*MESSAGE : Carrying a knife does not protect you, but only adds to your vulnerability and lead to serious harm and legal consequences.

 

Some Examples Of Operation Sceptre Activities Include;

 

*KNIFE AMNESTY : People can drop off unwanted knives at Police stations and other designated locations.

 

*EDUCATION : Working with schools and local authorities to educate young people about dangers of knife crime.

 

*TARGETED OPERATIONS : Officers conduct targeted operations, particular in hotspot locations and targeted repeat offenders.
