Survey response: Speed scoping Exercise

BILINGUAL MESSAGE / NEGES DWYIEITHOG

Hello Resident

Thank you for responding to our survey. We are working hard to tackle speeding in (NOTTAGE).

Yesterday we had a GoSafe speed van located on Fulmar Road and today I have attended West Park Drive and West Road with the speed gun after multiple reports of speeding in the area.

West Road average speed was 21mph

West Park Drive average speed was 24mph

Fastest recorded speed was 46mph on West Park Drive

While I Understand it may be frustrating, I would like to remind everyone that the law now mandates a maximum speed of 20MPH, particular in densely populated areas like the streets mentioned, especially given the presence of a school nearby.

If you have concerns surrounding a particular area, please respond to this message with the street/road name and I will visit the top suggested locations.

Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime.

Do you need to speak to the police but don’t require an emergency response?

You can make an online report via our website https://www.south-wales.police.uk, send us a private message via Live Chat, or call 101. In an emergency always dial 999.
