Vehicle Crime Prevention Week has taken place this week 9 – 13 September 2024 where neighbourhood teams across the Force have used their awareness of local areas to work with residents and businesses to build a more informed and resilient community that can protect itself against vehicle crime.
 

Overall, we received 3,340 reports of vehicle related crime for the first six months this year, which is an increase of 1.6% from the same period last year. Vehicle crime can have a profound and lasting impact on victims, affecting their financial situation, emotional wellbeing and daily life.
 

Vehicle Crime Awareness Week aims to reduce vehicle crime by educating the public, identifying and addressing high-risk areas and engaging the community in proactive crime prevention efforts.

So, keep an eye out for your local neighbourhood policing team who are conducting patrols throughout the Rhondda and engaging with communities about tackling vehicle crime.

Mae Wythnos Atal Troseddau Cerbydau wedi’i chynnal yr wythnos hon 9 – 13 Medi 2024 lle mae timau cymdogaeth ar draws yr Heddlu wedi defnyddio eu hymwybyddiaeth o ardaloedd lleol i weithio gyda thrigolion a busnesau i adeiladu cymuned fwy gwybodus a gwydn a all amddiffyn ei hun rhag troseddau cerbydau.

Yn gyffredinol, cawsom 3,340 o adroddiadau am droseddau cysylltiedig â cherbydau am y chwe mis cyntaf eleni, sy’n gynnydd o 1.6% o’r un cyfnod y llynedd. Gall troseddau cerbydau gael effaith ddofn a pharhaol ar ddioddefwyr, gan effeithio ar eu sefyllfa ariannol, lles emosiynol a bywyd bob dydd.

Nod Wythnos Ymwybyddiaeth Troseddau Cerbydau yw lleihau troseddau cerbydau trwy addysgu'r cyhoedd, nodi a mynd i'r afael â meysydd risg uchel ac ymgysylltu â'r gymuned mewn ymdrechion rhagweithiol i atal troseddau.

Felly, cadwch lygad am eich tîm plismona lleol pwy sy'n cynnal patrolau dros y Rhondda ac yn ymgysylltu â chymunedau i afael â throseddau cerbydau.
