Hi Resident

Every year fire is responsible for the destruction of thousands of hectares of countryside, open space and wildlife habitats. Many of these fires are preventable and caused by our behaviour.

Help stop grass fires

Do not light campfires. Only use a BBQ where signs say you can and never leave it unattended.

Discard cigarettes responsibly.

Clear away bottles, glasses, and any broken glass to avoid them magnifying the sun and starting a fire.

Explain to children the dangers of playing with and lighting fires.

Report any suspicious activity by calling 101 or CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 and if you see a wildfire, get to a safe place, call 999 and ask for the Fire Service.

Rhowch wybod am unrhyw weithgarwch amheus trwy ffonio 101, neu trwy gysylltu â Crimestoppers yn ddienw ar 0800 555 111. Os ydych yn gweld tanau gwyllt, ewch i le diogel, ffoniwch 999 a gofynnwch am y Gwasanaeth Tân.
