You Said, We did - Bonfire night

Hello Resident

We are working hard to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the Llanishen area - Following reports of ASB in the area officers have been given extra powers to prevent gatherings, illegal use of fireworks and associated anti-social behaviour over Bonfire night.

The order is a preventative measure following a number of reports over this month involving persons of note throwing fireworks at members of the community and associated anti-social behaviour.

A dispersal order, which is granted under Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014, is in place until tomorrow morning (06/11/2024).

Under Section 35 of the Act, police officers can instruct anybody who is causing, or is likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress to leave the area as illustrated in the map. Officers will also have the power to seize any property which they suspect is being used to cause anti-social behaviour.

Inspector Meg Butler: “The dispersal order is in place as a preventative measure. We will have an increased presence in Llanishen and officers won’t hesitate to enforce the extra powers afforded to them in order to keep the community safe. We urge parents and guardians to speak to their young people about not getting involved in anti-social behaviour. Please also check who they are associating with, what they are doing and where they are.”

Anti-social behaviour covers a wide range of unacceptable activity that causes harm to an individual, to their community or to their environment. This could be an action by someone else that leaves you feeling alarmed, harassed, or distressed. It also includes fear of crime or concern for public safety, public disorder, or public nuisance.

South Wales Police has a zero-tolerance approach to anti-social behaviour and this dispersal order is just one example of the work we are doing.

We can, and regularly do, act upon the information provided to us by the public, so please keep it coming.
Anyone with suspicions or information about illegal activities in their area are urged to contact us.

Wnaethoch chi ddweud, Mi wnaethom ni - Noson tân gwyllt

Shwmae Resident

Rydym yn gweithio’n galed i fynd i’r afael ag ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol yn ardal Llanishen - Yn dilyn adroddiadau o ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol yn y maes hwn mae swyddogion ym wedi cael pwerau ychwanegol i atal cynulliadau, defnydd anghyfreithlon o dân gwyllt ac ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol cysylltiedig dros Goelcerth nos.

Mae'r gorchymyn yn fesur ataliol yn dilyn nifer o adroddiadau yn ystod y mis hwn yn ymwneud â phobl o daflu nodiadau tân gwyllt at aelodau o'r gymuned ac ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol cysylltiedig.

Mae gorchymyn gwasgaru, a roddir o dan Adran 35 o Ddeddf Ymddygiad Gwrthgymdeithasol, Troseddu a Phlismona 2014, mewn grym tan fore yfory (06/11/2024).

O dan Adran 35 o’r Ddeddf, gall swyddogion heddlu gyfarwyddo unrhyw un sy’n achosi, neu sy’n debygol o achosi aflonyddwch, braw, neu drallod i adael yr ardal fel y dangosir ar y map. Bydd gan swyddogion hefyd y pŵer i atafaelu unrhyw eiddo y maent yn amau ei fod yn cael ei ddefnyddio i achosi ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol.

Arolygydd Meg Butler: “Mae’r gorchymyn gwasgaru ar waith fel mesur ataliol. Bydd gennym bresenoldeb cynyddol ym Llanishen ac ni fydd swyddogion yn oedi cyn gorfodi’r pwerau ychwanegol a roddir iddynt er mwyn cadw’r gymuned yn ddiogel. Rydym yn annog rhieni a gwarcheidwaid i siarad â’u pobl ifanc am beidio â chymryd rhan mewn ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol. Gwiriwch hefyd gyda phwy maen nhw'n cysylltu, beth maen nhw'n ei wneud a ble maen nhw."

Mae ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol yn cwmpasu ystod eang o weithgarwch annerbyniol sy'n achosi niwed i unigolyn, i'w gymuned neu i'w hamgylchedd. Gallai hyn fod yn weithred gan rywun arall sy'n eich gadael yn teimlo'n ofnus, yn aflonyddu neu'n ofidus. Mae hefyd yn cynnwys ofn trosedd neu bryder am ddiogelwch y cyhoedd, anhrefn cyhoeddus, neu niwsans cyhoeddus.

Mae gan Heddlu De Cymru ymagwedd dim goddefgarwch tuag at ymddygiad gwrthgymdeithasol ac mae'r gorchymyn gwasgaru hwn yn un enghraifft yn unig o'r gwaith yr ydym yn ei wneud.

Gallwn, ac rydym yn gweithredu'n rheolaidd, ar y wybodaeth a ddarperir i ni gan y cyhoedd, felly cadwch hi i ddod.

Anogir unrhyw un sydd ag amheuon neu wybodaeth am weithgareddau anghyfreithlon yn eu hardal i gysylltu â ni.
